Mark, Esperanza and I traveled to Tulsa for the holiday. It was Will's first Christmas and what a blessing to be a part of this time of his life.
Mark and I just love being grandparents and adore that little boy. We just loved him and played with him all day, everyday. He is crawling now so he is very busy and hard to keep in your lap but lots of fun!!! I smooched him a million times while I was there. We had a grand time and I cherish every moment I have with Will.
The thing about being a grandparent, when you are not responsible for the upbringing...I have found I can not say "no" to that little guy....does anyone else see this as a problem????
......Oh yea and while we were out..a sweet and smart sales girl asked me if Will was my first child!!! I immediately stared throwing money at her!!!
and what is that all about anyway...shopping the day after Christmas.. let me say..I was there...so I am not sure what I have to talk about..but it is insane, no??? The day after we receive gifts and stuff we are out buying more.........
Ok I am back...
OK so Will had a couple of Lola's goodies..a snickerdoodle, monkey bread...YEP he is a Connell, loved it all!!!
He put cookies out for Santa and decided he needed to taste everything on the plate and of course Lola said yes! He said good bye to Ralph the Elf for another year and opened his first stocking!
It was really cool to watch family traditions be passed on through another generation and the pleasure of seeing how the traditions have meant so to Eric and are such a part of who he is as a dad.
It is great as a parent to get a glimpse into the stuff you did right with your kids!
Family is a great blessing! Thank you Lord!
