Since none of us today have seen the face of Jesus we have no idea what He truly looks like but we do know He is of Jewish lineage which does limit His color:) Whatever He looks like He himself is beyond description-who could find the words to describe the very real Son of God?
My post was not really speaking of his physical look more speaking to the kind of savior we have made him out to be. I think we have made him in the our own image of what "we" think a christian should reflect as a follower of The Christ.
Just to remind.....Jesus was born of a Jewish mother and if you have been to Israel you will note that Jews from that country are white or caucasion whichever you choose. Jesus did not change color to "fit" every country-He is indeed a Savior for all people no matter the "color" of the inhabitants of different countries. WHO has made Him the Jesus these comments seem to dispararge? The Christ is the Christ and can't be changed from What/Who He is by anyone-the Son of God-whom no one living today has seen in human form!

What a beautiful painting this is... and you are so right in your assessment of what 'we' have done to Jesus.
I arrived here following a comment of yours at another blog. Oh my goodness. It's one of those moments where reality becomes extra-vivid, you know?
Thank you.
I'll be back :)
