Simply Living

One thing that has profoundly impacted me is the simplicity of life in Honduras. I have read a lot about living more simply before God, but it wasn't until I came face to face with a different life that it all made sense. So much of what we fill our lives with just keeps us from God, community and relationships. It keeps us selfish and living a life of entitlement. When all the excess is removed, your awareness of all things important come into view. You realize just how little you need and how the needs of others are more important.
