Today was a day filled with laughter, smiles, and fun! The day was a day that I like to call loving on the kids.
We began the day by going to the bodega to pickup a container that arrived for casa de esperanza. The container was filled with supplies for the house, toys for the boys, new bikes and even two rocking horses!

Casa de Esperanza ( house of hope) is what it literally is, the new life these kids are living is all because of the hope and dreams that came true, and you can truly see that. The boys come running as they hear our car, and the tears that we saw when they first arrived, are now replaced with uncontrollable laughter and smiles. The things that we brought gave so much joy and happiness to the boys, not because they were getting new things, but because we were there to use there bikes, and toys with them. I hope everyone can experience a moment as simple but important as that.
After the boys got to try out there new things, we all played. The boys wrestled with uncle mark, and aunt Lori even got her hair done! The whole day was a great day to bond with the
boys and enjoy the amazing little ones they are.
The day was ended just like this, with lots and lots of smooches, hugs and screams of "te quiero mucho mucho mucho" (I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!)
After we played at casa de epseranza, we got to go to my favorite village san miguel!
Here we gave out more love and Watermelon. We got all the kids together and ate watermelon, yes it was as simple as that, and who ever knew it could be so much fun!
As we were eating our sandia ( watermelon ) aunt Lori started a seed spitting contest, and before you new it everyone was trying to compete. The fun we were having just spitting seeds was great, and I cant wait to do it again. I love to just be able to be with the people of Honduras, and to engage with them in there every day life. Don't get me wrong I love being able to give someone a house, food, or whatever they need, but to give them nothing but yourself, is really remarkable and I am so grateful I get to be apart of these peoples lives!
