Things kids say!

Friday in chapel one of our kindergarten students was praying and her prayer said....
"Thank you God for what we need"....I loved that. I have thought of those words many times over the past couple days and I pray we always know the difference between what we need and what we "think" we need.
It made me think of the passage in Matthew 6 when we are reminded not to worry about what we will eat, wear etc. It tells us the Lord knows what we "need" and then the words come.."But seek first the kingdom and righteousness and all "these" things will given to you" What things??? The things we need. That is what we promised, but we think we deserve so much more and often think that God wants us to have all the things we want. But no, he promises to take care of our needs and asks us to be satisfied with that and Him.
